Welcome to hi fi for Hemp.
Martin:I am Martin Lindeskog, and today I have a
Martin:returning guest, Hannah.
Martin:Welcome.
Hanna:Hi, Martin.
Hanna:Thank you very much.
Martin:And since we talked last time, you had been on an other pod.
Martin:Could you tell a little bit about that? It's in Swedish, but I want to do a shout out
Martin:to them.
Hanna:Absolutely. Yes. I participated in a podcast called Seoul river, but river with a
Hanna:w. So Seoul river with Sarah and Jimmy, two swedish podcasters that are excellent to be
Hanna:around.
Martin:Great.
Hanna:Yeah, they did an interview with me.
Hanna:We talked about CBD, the fantastic benefits of
Hanna:using hemp and cannabinoids.
Hanna:Yeah.
Hanna:And it's actually available at Seoul river podcast, where pods are found.
Martin:Yeah, you could find pods podcasts, as you say in Swedish.
Martin:And we will talk about that also, how you could listen to this show.
Martin:And I'm a proponent and supporter of a podcasting 2.0 initiative.
Martin:So please download a new podcast app, a smart, new, modern podcast application that you could
Martin:support our work with boostergrams and streaming satoshis.
Martin:More of that later on.
Martin:And we will do now as again, if you are coming
Martin:here for first time as a listeners, Hannah, you have written and published a book both in
Martin:Swedish and in English.
Martin:Could you repeat and tell about the titles of
Martin:your book?
Hanna:Absolutely.
Hanna:The swedish version is called Hampa Oxydia
Hanna:Voder, and I use my full name there, Hannah.
Hanna:Hell, I got that published by Whip Media, as
Hanna:we mentioned last time.
Hanna:And then I did a translation into an english
Hanna:version called Hemp NCBD, a beginner's guide.
Hanna:But my name on that one is Hannah Hill, and
Hanna:that's available.
Hanna:And it's basically a really simple start out.
Hanna:I want to know more about the hemp plant and CBD.
Hanna:So basic, a basic book.
Martin:That's a great introduction.
Martin:And when you have learned a little bit about
Martin:that and you get passionate about it and you want to learn more, then it's very handy to
Martin:have a book.
Martin:And that's why I want to do this episode, like
Martin:a bit size information, so you could chew it, you could think about it.
Martin:And then I did this reflection and aha.
Martin:Moment.
Martin:You could say, when I looked at the COVID of your book and also the great artwork of my co
Martin:host, Adam Tinkoff, and I was thinking how many you could say leaf it is on the plant.
Martin:And I counted to seven.
Martin:And when I looked at your book cover and I was
Martin:thinking when I saw when we'll talk more about in future episodes about Kuka Vida and Tibur
Martin:and Kim, and I saw when they had been at the plantation, you could say, and where we get
Martin:the great product or material, I saw, oh, that plant looks different.
Martin:It's more leaves.
Martin:And they almost, like, do they say that in
Martin:English or like a moustache or something like that?
Martin:So I've counted it to nine leaf, I think.
Martin:So if we start with that, it's the same big
Martin:umbrella family, but it's different plants.
Martin:So could you explain a little bit about that,
Martin:Tanner? The industrial hemp plant or the hemp plant
Martin:and the mariana plant and how they look different and how they are.
Hanna:Different, as I understand it, and I strongly must emphasize that I am not a
Hanna:researcher or an expert.
Hanna:I'm just a hemp enthusiast.
Hanna:But the Mariana plant has five great leaves, and then the little moustache in the bottom,
Hanna:which makes seven leaves altogether on that plant.
Hanna:But the hemp plant, the industrial hemp has seven big leaves and two small ones, the
Hanna:mustache.
Hanna:So that makes it nine leaves.
Hanna:So if we are looking for folds, my book cover, for example, is not the industrial hemp plant.
Hanna:It's actually another plant, illegal and the same.
Martin:And it's illegal in some areas and illegal in some other areas.
Martin:But the focus on this podcast is hi fi for hemp or industrial hemp.
Martin:But it's funny also that my co host, Adam Tinkov, have done the one with seven also.
Martin:And it could be that it's easy to do, and it's easy to get in your artwork or on a book
Martin:cover, and maybe when you do a search online, maybe that's what pops up to joke with that, I
Martin:have an interest in tea, and on my business card and on my tea site, teapotty media, it's
Martin:a creator called John Cox.
Martin:He's a cartoonist and a fine artist.
Martin:And he had done this creative thing and designed a tea leaf.
Martin:And then I got reflections and comments.
Martin:Is that what I think it is?
Martin:And I say it's a tea leaf.
Martin:What did you think it was?
Martin:So it's interesting how you could get an idea or an image of another thing.
Martin:So thanks for that explanation.
Martin:And the next step, then it's the same big
Martin:umbrella family, but different types.
Martin:So what's the main difference between the
Martin:industrial hemp and Mariana?
Hanna:Well, the hemp plant is actually called industrial hemp and has many industrial uses.
Hanna:The Mariana plant, in which I am no expert, it gets you high, period.
Hanna:I'm not familiar with anything else it does.
Hanna:So that's the major use of that plant, is to
Hanna:get intoxicated.
Hanna:Whereas industrial hemp might be like the
Hanna:savior of the planet.
Hanna:The plant itself, it has over 50,000 uses.
Hanna:It's just for industrial uses.
Hanna:We touched upon this last time that you can
Hanna:make batteries out of hemp, cosmetics, beauty products, textiles.
Hanna:It turns out that the bee population actually is attracted to the hemp plant and could very
Hanna:well be like the savior of the bee population.
Hanna:It has less than 0.3% of the THC, which is the
Hanna:cannabinoid that makes you high.
Hanna:A Mariana plant can, you know, the amounts of
Hanna:THC could reach almost 30%.
Martin:Okay, that's great.
Martin:You are so good at summarizing this and
Martin:directly I have more follow up questions and thoughts.
Martin:So this we will do, and we have done it in the past, myself and also with, together with Kohs
Martin:Adam Tinker about applications and different ways of using it in industrial ways and for
Martin:consumers and so on.
Martin:So we will take that and also we will follow
Martin:along with your book.
Martin:So when you mention that with THC, the
Martin:product, and we will do a little bit about that and then we will talk more about it in a
Martin:separate episode and compare different, maybe brands and different types of industrial hemp
Martin:products.
Martin:But could you say about the product that you
Martin:are using? And myself included, and also included the
Martin:show notes and the link, my referral link in the previous episode, and I will do that
Martin:today.
Martin:So now you have found this kuka vida, because
Martin:I like the name Kuka Vida.
Martin:Vida is live and Kuka is.
Martin:What was that hawaiian name for something.
Martin:And we will.
Hanna:Yeah. Means sustain, to sustain in hawaiian.
Hanna:And Vida is latin for life.
Hanna:So sustain life is what the company actually
Hanna:means.
Hanna:Yeah.
Hanna:Yes.
Hanna:It's a company that I got in contact with as
Hanna:it started.
Hanna:And their logo is purpose before profit, which
Hanna:resonates with me.
Hanna:They are really, really committed to living
Hanna:with nature and having natural products.
Hanna:And they have created an oil that is
Hanna:biologically bioecologically grown.
Hanna:It's Colorado made, which for those who don't
Hanna:know, Colorado has really strong laws against pesticides, herbicides, mold, etcetera.
Hanna:So if you have an oil that is made in Colorado, that is a quality stamp in itself.
Hanna:And of course this one is, and it's a doctor's brand.
Hanna:So they are really committed to bringing forth a product that has high quality without
Hanna:skipping steps, that makes it less natural.
Hanna:And they talk about going back to nature.
Hanna:And what I love is that they are so personal and that resonates with me.
Hanna:They are genuinely good people.
Hanna:They are founders of the company.
Hanna:They talk about the cocoa vida family, and they do take care of you as if they were a
Hanna:family.
Hanna:They have a great product and they try helping
Hanna:local businesses by buying their stock, which is, you know, I'm a small swedish business
Hanna:entrepreneur and it's really difficult sometimes to make ends meet.
Hanna:And that's what they do over there.
Hanna:Most of all, the product itself, it's got a
Hanna:great hemp plant, they got a CoA, the certificate of analysis that covers it all.
Hanna:So I can trust the product.
Hanna:And the best part is that they claim that you
Hanna:need 200 milligrams of cannabinoids each day to ignite your endocannabinoid system.
Hanna:And, well, CBD cannabinoids, the oils are usually very expensive.
Hanna:So what they've done is they've created the Bogo deal forever.
Hanna:So buy one, get one.
Hanna:That means that you buy one bottle, you get
Hanna:the other one for free so that you can afford to unite your own endocannabinoid system.
Hanna:And that's great.
Hanna:Yeah, that's why I chose them.
Hanna:They are lovely.
Martin:And we will then have probably an episode of that also, how you, as I have a
Martin:podcast together with the co host about tea and we talk about tea economy.
Martin:So, for example, when you have a great tea, like for example, oolong or something like
Martin:that, and you could do several steepings of that, the cost for every teacup is very
Martin:affordable and you get a great value for the price.
Martin:So we'll come back to that.
Martin:What content of the product.
Martin:So thanks for explaining that in a good way.
Martin:And again to the listener out there, what's
Martin:your favorite product brand and how the different ways of using industrial hemp.
Martin:We talked now about the oil, the hemp oil that you use.
Martin:What do you say that in English? It's like in, in the bottle, you, you press on
Martin:the top and then you get drops drop by drop.
Martin:Oh, like drop, yeah.
Martin:So. And you could do it in different ways.
Martin:So we'll talk more.
Hanna:Yeah, sorry, Martin.
Martin:No problem.
Hanna:That's good.
Hanna:That's a good thing.
Hanna:To emphasize that I resonate a lot with this oil.
Hanna:They have a fantastic production method too, which makes like almost 99% of the plant.
Hanna:You know, the components remain and it's easy to remove the THC if needed, and it is needed
Hanna:in Sweden.
Hanna:But then again, everybody is different.
Hanna:And if you find an oil you like, make sure it's legal, that it's not contaminated, and
Hanna:that it actually contains a what it says on the label.
Hanna:And if that resonates with you, that's great.
Hanna:I'm not saying that.
Hanna:Well, I am saying that this is the best, but that's for me, everybody's different, so just
Hanna:do your research.
Martin:Great.
Martin:And that's why, you know, when you wrote the
Martin:book, the idea behind it to find how you source and how do you find and what's out
Martin:there and what's, what's CBD and what's hemp and etcetera.
Martin:So we'll come back to that.
Martin:So thanks very much for that, Hannah.
Martin:And I could say for the record and, and if you again want to support this show, check out the
Martin:show notes and click on the link and get this, buy one, get one deal.
Martin:And then you will support my work also.
Martin:And for a first time customer, if you write in
Martin:the code Martin five, you will get additional 5% off for your first order.
Martin:So that's a great way of supporting this show and my work.
Martin:And again, Hannah, thanks for your support as an ambassador.
Martin:And I want to say a personal thing.
Martin:I know one of our co founders, Thibor.
Martin:We're going back way, a long way back.
Martin:So I know him for a long time.
Martin:So it was interesting to meet him again and see what he's doing.
Martin:So that's a nice way of doing it to getting in touch and contact with the co founder of the
Martin:company so you could trust them and you could talk directly to them.
Martin:And again, I want the listeners, if you have, because that's why we're talking in.
Martin:Speaking in Swedish.
Martin:Swedish talking in English, thinking in
Martin:Swedish sometimes.
Martin:So because it's an international thing and
Martin:Coca Vida is the main market, I think is North America.
Martin:But it's available for us here in Europe also.
Martin:That's great.
Martin:So anything else you want to say as a wrap up roundup and any thoughts for the future,
Martin:Hannah?
Hanna:Well, the thing to remember that when it comes to CBD and the other cannabinoids,
Hanna:the answer to why they are so important is the endocannabinoid system.
Hanna:And that's like our biggest system in the body and it strives for balance.
Hanna:And when we are balanced, we have a possibility to heal and feel good about
Hanna:ourselves.
Hanna:So this balance, or homeostasis, as it's
Hanna:called, can actually be induced, so to speak, by using a broad spectrum or a full spectrum
Hanna:hemp oil, depending on where you live.
Hanna:And just to wrap that up, I talked to Tibur
Hanna:the other day and he told me this magical story about he was at a doctors fair talking
Hanna:about the CBD oil or the broad spectrum and the full spectrum.
Hanna:They have a PM am routine that is really exciting over in America and this man came who
Hanna:had neurological injury.
Hanna:So he went from stall to stall in this huge
Hanna:fair along with this doctor in order to try and find some relief because he had spasms
Hanna:from an accident in several years back and they were like epileptical spasms but he
Hanna:didn't have epilepsy and somebody called out to Tibur said come over here, this is
Hanna:something you need to talk to this man.
Hanna:So he brought the CBD oil, gave him three
Hanna:droppers and within 15 seconds the man was like in relief.
Hanna:After a few minutes he stood up and everybody around was crying.
Hanna:There was such a difference between those constant spasms and then the relief that the
Hanna:man actually obtained by just balancing his endocannabinoid system.
Hanna:There are so many magical, fantastic stories about what happens in your body when you do
Hanna:balance this system though it's not always a 15 2nd relief but it could be.
Hanna:So in order for you to feel balanced, working with your endocannabinoid system is of utmost
Hanna:importance.
Martin:That's great.
Martin:A perfect segue for the next episode.
Martin:Hannah, so you are really good at this.
Martin:And again for the record, it's a personal
Martin:thing so we will have that so called fine print.
Martin:And you said that in a good way Hannah, so you could say that again that this is our personal
Martin:stories and testimonials and you have to test it yourself if you listen to this.
Martin:So you could end with that.
Hanna:This is not to replace any medical advice.
Hanna:We are not doctors so stick to your doctor's tip and advice.
Hanna:This is just an informal chat between two hemp enthusiasts and should not be taken as medical
Hanna:advice.
Martin:Great honor, thanks for that and thanks for this chat and conversation and talk
Martin:to you soon again.
Hanna:Talk to you soon.
Martin:Bye for now.
Hanna:Bye.
